PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Demineralized whey powder is produced by the process of evaporating water from the flowing whey then drying in a spray tower and selectively extracting most of the minerals from sweet liquid whey.
Demineralized whey contains lactose and serum proteins with high nutritional value. When it is 90% demineralized, it is used for infant food. Demineralized whey helps standardize the serum protein, lactose, and mineral contents of infant formula to be closer to breast milk composition.
CHARACTERISTIC
Creamy white powder. Taste and smell typical for pasteurized whey, smell without foreign odour.
APPLICATIONS
Infant formula, dairy products, dairy mix, bakery products, sauces, chocolates, candy, and ice creams.
BENEFITS
Rich source of carbohydrates, good emulsification and browning properties, economical substitute of milk solids. Control of serum proteins, lactose, and essential mineral contents. Dispersible ability, thermal stability, low hygroscopicity, low tendency to clump.
